We also moved last weekend and frankly, I was scared to death that the dog or the cat would bolt out of the house. We kept them penned up until absolutely necessary to let them out. It meant a lot of corraling with baby gates, putting the dog in the yard, leaving them in the closet (Where the cat likes to stay put. She's weird.), etc. I’m glad you recovered the dog.
