I paid off my mortgage in July. People who scoffed at me two years ago now think I’m a freakin’ genius. I just think it was the right decision for me.

I was thinking that same thing (again). I decided to put my money towards my mortgage starting last December and I haven’t regretted it at all.

Thanks for your post. My husband and I have talked about paying off our mortgage too. We’re paying more toward it each month when we can, but my car is also at 104,000 miles so we can’t pay off the mortgage just yet. Have a nice day!
