My mother used to always say that she didn't care what people thought of her. It used to annoy me as a teenager, because I used to think 'how can you not care what people think!?!' Now that I'm older, I know what she meant, as I often don't give a rats about what anyone thinks! I wish she was still around so that I could tell her that I get it now. Just plain and simple being you. I think we all probably go through caring what others think and it takes some moment to realize that we're better off just being who we are. I shop almost exclusively at our Goodwill for clothes and am happy to tell anyone who asks that is where my fab outfits came from. I do care about looking nice - I don't care about keeping an illusion about it all. This is by far my favorite post from you. Just plain and simple being you.
