Even though I didn't live in Africa, I grew up in a trailer with no air conditioning that was in much worse condition than the average house in America. For me the argument comes down to the far better things you could do with the money besides spend it on a watch. I'm a giver by nature, and would rather hand someone that just lost their home to a fire, or similar disaster, a check for $27,300 than blow it on a watch!
