Children today think they have a right to things rather than getting things as a priviledge. My boys will NOT be this way. I will teach them that they have to work to earn what they get. I know when my daughter acts up its my attention and a hug she craves not some fancy new toy. She does have quite a few toys but they've all come from charity shops, particularly oxfam so I don't mind as much because its helping other kids as well and the things I've bought are very cheap.
