Carnivals and Festivals – Feels Like Summer!

The Carnival of Money Stories is up at Bible Money Matters.  Check out this story from Mrs. Accountability – it’ll make you shudder, I promise!  I also liked the post from Harvesting Dollars about kids working during high school.  I have to agree – By the time I was a senior in high school, I was babysitting about 15 – 20 hours a week, and also tutoring a neighbor’s child in reading.  I also worked throughout college.  It instilled a solid work ethic, and I graduated from college with no debt and a few thousand dollars in a Vanguard fund.

The Festival of Frugality is also up today, at Bored Finance.  I enjoyed the post about focusing on spending less instead of earning more – that’s been my motto for a long time.  When you’re happy living on very little money, you’ll still be just fine if your income does increase.  But if you have to have a high income in order to be happy, you could be in for a rude awakening if your income suddenly drops.  And I loved the post with cheap ways to stay in shape – I’m inspired to go clean my house!

I had articles that were editor’s picks in both carnivals today, so it’s a good day for Frugal Babe!  Happy reading!
