My Dad had to have the first LCD TVs when they came out - these were in boxes shipped back to the mfg far more than they were in my parents' home. They were at the mfg's when my dad died. Two months after he bought his, it was discontinued and the 8G dropped to the 4G price. Now there's the new one, and I bet you anything he'll buy it. He's not rich. In fact, he is deeply in debt. Meanwhile I'm using a phone I've had for years. I can upgrade and get a Razr for free, but I just haven't bothered. I'll do it when this one dies on me. Until then, I just don't care.
