The Baby In The Fat Tire Diaper

As promised, here’s a picture of our little boy in his Fat Tire diaper that my mom made for him… Makes you want to turn all of your cool t-shirts into diapers, doesn’t it?

How cute! My mom likes to sew/quilt. Maybe she and I can could whip up some of our own homemade diapers for my potential kids one day.

    Adorable…look at all that hair!

So the diapers are fitting him well? No leaks or anything like that?

my buddies got me a shirt for my bachelor party that says “game over”

    hehehe…. that’d make a great diaper.

I’ve also got one that says “frankenstien for president”

I’ve GOT to make a couple of those diapers!

The diapers fit great. We use plastic diaper covers to keep his clothes dry - it’s working really well, and the whole process is much easier than I had thought it would be :)

    Aww… that’s really cute.

R and I had decided that cloth diapers were the way to go when we have kids, but they are expensive… I Love that you made them yourself. This is definitely what we are going to do now.

Great idea. I’m a new reader of your blog and had to comment on how great it is that you made your own diapers (or nappies as we call them over here!). We use cloth but we bought ours - BumGenius and Blueberries mainly. It never occured to me to make any. Doh! Handmade is so much cooler! You did such a great job!

That is adorable! I’m so glad I found your blog and that you have a few years on me as far as kids go. I’m convinced about cloth diapers now!
