Frugal Babe

A rich life without a lot of money

Carnivals and Festivals

April23

The Carnival Of Personal Finance is up at The Happy Rock.  I was excited to see my entry as an editor’s pick!  Amy Clark has a great post about her version of the American Dream - I can very much relate.  And I enjoyed the reminder that that money really is for spending - whether we do it now or later, it isn’t good for much else.  Sometimes we pf types lose sight of that reality.

The Festival Of Frugality was hosted by On Financial Success this week.  Right off the bat I saw a post I liked from a stay at home mom who has figured out how to be just fine on one income.  Quest for Four Pillars has a great post about what constitutes a “decent” life - how much do we really need in order to be happy and fulfilled?  Probably a lot less than most of us have.  And since I’m as passionate about environmental awareness as I am about finance, I loved Monroe on a Budget’s post about minimizing our impact on the environment.

Happy reading, and enjoy this spring-time week!

    Thanks for stopping by!

By the way, our “starter house” is the one we’ll retire in too.

Hi! Thanks for mentioning my post. I really enjoyed yours, too, as we have much in common.

You are completely right about not having to spend a lot on baby paraphernalia. Good for you!
