Free Money

Last week a friend at the library gave me $50 worth of gift certificates for our local thrift store.  She and her husband got them because they donated an old car, but she doesn’t shop there and she knows I do.  They had no strings attached - it was like $50 in cash to spend at the store.  I have a friend visiting from out of town who is my original thrift store buddy;  she and I went there yesterday and got all sorts of good stuff.  She got clothes for her kids and herself, and I got some great clothes, including a couple cute maternity shirts.  Our total bill was $62, so we only had to pay $12.  I’m going to bake some cookies for my friend at the library!

Oh fun! I like how much more you can get at thrift stores, compared to the same amount of money at a regular store. It might have bought you two shirts. Maybe.
